IAAPA Expo Europe location rotates every year. The process of selecting the future venue takes place years in advance and is decided by IAAPA members in committees. The process includes the following steps.
IAAPA EMEA M&S Committee has established a number of venue selection criteria.
1. First tier city
2. Exhibition venue in reasonable distance to city centre and hotels
3. Easily accessible, international flight connections
4. Strong attractions industry in the host country
5. Availability in third or fourth week of September with show open days Tuesday to Thursday
6. Must have a sustainability policy and a sustainability officer
7. Must have an accessibility policy
Based on the above selection criteria IAAPA team comes up with a list of venues.
IAAPA EMEA M&S Committee creates a shortlist.
Selections are then voted on by IAAPA Global M&S Committee.
IAAPA Board of Directors provides the formal approval.

Overlooking the exhibit floor of Hall 2 is the Barcelona Suite, Level 1, where you’ll find the IAAPA Sales Office with exhibit sales information, sponsorship and advertising details, and materials for all upcoming IAAPA Expos. Submit your contract and choose your booth space for future events.
Also benefit from IAAPA Exhibitor Lounge located next door. Enjoy a complimentary coffee and a chat.

Lost and found items can be found at the ServiFira service counter in the South Access Customer Service Lobby, Level –1.
Lost children will be brought to the ServiFira service counter, in the South Access Customer Service Lobby, Level –1.
Fira Barcelona Gran Via has underground car park facilities (for vehicles below 2.05m) along its perimeter (see venue map). Parking “A” at the South Access is open from Monday to Friday from 07:30 – 20:00. For large vehicles higher than 2.05m, two parking areas are located near the venue. We welcome all guidance and assistance dogs. No other dogs/pets permitted.
An interfaith and meditation room is located in Room B15 in the Barcelona Suite, Level 1.
There are several catering outlets at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. They can be found outside and inside the venue offering a variety of food formats and cuisine types. You can also dine at the Nuclo restaurant located adjacent to the South Access foyer.
There are no strollers or trolleys allowed on the show floor. Please refer to the Cloakroom information should you need to store items.
Sustainability continues to be a priority for IAAPA Expo Europe with a strong focus on ongoing improvement. New initiatives for 2025 include collecting data on attendee travel, enhancing waste and recycling practices, and reviewing catering to reduce single-use items. Exhibitors are encouraged to take part in an expanded sustainability program featuring on-site follow-ups and opportunities to share their sustainability journeys and best practices.

IAAPA has secured various hotel and travel discounts for Expo Europe participants. Barcelona is a busy tourist destination, and it is recommended to book early in advance.
IAAPA will provide visa letters or letters of invitation for attendees and exhibitors during the registration process. Your visa letter will be sent to you by email upon completion of registration. Please contact [email protected] for any additional help needed.
All press entering the show floor must have an IAAPA PRESS name badge. A staff member from the IAAPA Press Office must escort press with TV cameras on the trade show floor if they are conducting interviews scheduled through IAAPA’s global communications team. Press should pick up their badges at the press office, located on level -1 of the South Access Lobby in the press area.

VIP Experience is a ticket upgrade available during the registration process. VIP Experience offers: Show Floor access, Education Conference, entry to an exclusive VIP lounge, AI-driven recommendations to connect with exhibitors via the Connect + App, an opportunity to meet IAAPA leadership, and a dedicated registration pickup kiosk.
In case of emergency, call +34 93 233 4100 and report what has happened. The closest First Aid room for IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 is located at Loadbay 2-3 next to Gate 3.14.
Venue security staff and hall managers will be present in the halls and at the entrances. The nearest police station is located at South Access, ground level (0) Rooms L and M.
To ensure participants’ safety, IAAPA uses the venue emergency procedures in cooperation with Fira Barcelona Gran Via, the local medical team as well as the on-site fire brigade, to be prepared for any situation which might occur during IAAPA Expo Europe 2025. In the event of an emergency please call the Fira Barcelona Gran Via dedicated emergency no: +34 93 233 4100.
Please always secure your belongings and never leave bags, mobile devices, laptops, show badges, or other valuables unattended, even for a moment.
Scooters are not permitted on the show floor. A limited number of wheelchairs can be requested at the Information point in the South Access foyer. Please note suitable ID will be required.
The Quiet Room is located in CC1, Level 1 and offers a calm space for attendees to recharge mentally and emotionally. Neurodiverse attendees or those sensitive to overstimulation are invited to use this quiet and calming environment.
