Peta Wittig brings over 20 years of global tourism experience, having opened and operated high-profile attractions across multiple continents. Her expertise spans from launching start-up attractions to leading mature, high-performing destinations. Peta has held key leadership roles at world-class attractions including Dubai Aquarium, The Green Planet (Dubai), Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, the St. Louis Aquarium, and Phillip Island Nature Parks—demonstrating a unique ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences across diverse markets. In 2023, she launched her own consultancy, advising a wide range of clients on operational and commercial strategies. Notably, she is contributing to the transformative Twelve Apostles Redevelopment Project, shaping how visitors engage with one of Australia’s most iconic natural landscapes—while ensuring protection of its environmental and cultural values. Alongside her consultancy work in Australia, Peta has also partnered with U.S.-based Canopy Strategic Partners, a planning and consulting firm that supports mission-driven organizations such as zoos, aquariums, museum, gardens and conservation institutions to create a more sustainable future. An active industry leader, Peta serves on the IAAPA Asia Advisory Board, is a board member of the Phillip Island Penguin Foundation, and contributes to several other professional committees. Her deep commitment to environmental stewardship, driving financially sustainability through guest engagement earned her recognition in the Blooloop Top 50 Zoo & Aquarium Influencers for 2023.
