Trade Show credentialed media are expected to adhere to the following policies:
- All media on the show floor must have a press credential displayed at all times.
- Any media interviews done with the assistance and coordination of the IAAPA team will require an escort on the show floor by IAAPA Press Office staff, unless otherwise approved in advance.
- Interviews with an IAAPA spokesperson should be arranged by emailing the IAAPA Press Office.
- Press are not permitted to participate in special events that require a separate ticket. Registered press seeking to cover those events are required to obtain advance approval from the IAAPA Press Office.
- Press may attend an educational program unless it is noted a session is closed to media. Credentialed media attending an educational program should ensure their badge is visible and they identify themselves as media at the beginning of the session.
- Advertising and sales personnel do not qualify for press credentials.
Press Credential Criteria:
All applications must include a story pitch or coverage plan
Newspapers/Magazines
Eligible Staff: Publisher, Reporter (freelance or staff), Editor, Photographer
- Publication should cover a field or industry related to the attractions or travel and tourism industry on a monthly basis.
- Circulation information may be requested during the press credential approval process.
Radio Stations
Eligible Staff: News Reporter, News Director, On-Air Personnel, Assistant News Director
- Listenership may be requested during the press credential process.
TV/Broadcast Media
Eligible Staff: News Reporter, News Director, On-Air Personnel, Assistant News Director, Videographer
- Viewership may be requested during the press credential approval process.
Digital/Online Media
- Media outlet should cover a field or industry related to the attractions, travel or tourism industry.
- Website analytics may be requested during the press credential approvals process.
Independent Blogs/Vlogs
- Media outlet should cover a field or industry related to the attractions, travel or tourism industry.
- Website analytics must be submitted with your application
- Monthly page views should average 10,000 to be considered eligible
Social Media Influencers (an individual that only posts content to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, X, or YouTube)
- Minimum following of 10,000 (or fewer with a verified social media account, quality content, and frequent posts)
- Engagement rate of 2-3% is required to be considered eligible
