Barcelona, Spain (3 June 2025) – This fall, Barcelona will become the global epicenter of the entertainment and attractions industry as it hosts IAAPA Expo Europe 2025, the premier trade show for the sector in Europe, organized by IAAPA, the Global Association for the Attractions Industry.
Taking place at Fira Barcelona Gran Via from 22 to 26 September, the event will bring together thousands of professionals from theme parks, water parks, indoor entertainment centers, museums, zoos, resorts, and more. Registration is now open for attendees and media.
A Growing Industry
Following a successful edition in Amsterdam in 2024, this year's event strives to deliver the same level of innovation and engagement for attendees. IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 will welcome over 690 international exhibitors across almost 21,000 square meters of exhibition space. Attendees will discover the latest technologies, groundbreaking products, and sustainable solutions driving the future of recreational experiences.
Barcelona was not chosen at random: as a European hub for creativity, technology, and tourism, it is home to major industry leaders such as Parc d'Atraccions Tibidabo, located in one of the largest metropolitan natural parks in the world. The city also hosted the event in 2021, where a long-term collaboration agreement was renewed.
A Global Gathering of Top Attractions and Innovators
Confirmed visitors include key players in Spain and the global industry, such as PortAventura World, Parc d'Atraccions Tibidabo, Water World Costa Brava, Casa Batlló, Parques Reunidos, Siam Park, Puy du Fou, Isla Mágica, and WAZA (World Association of Zoos and Aquariums). This edition offers a unique platform for business growth and global exposure for both established and emerging brands.
Education, Networking and Business Opportunities
Beyond the trade show floor, IAAPA Expo Europe will feature a robust educational program with conferences, panels, and specialized workshops covering key industry trends from digital innovation and sustainability to guest experience management, all designed to help push the industry forward. Among the most anticipated program highlights are: Indoor Entertainment Day, Water Park Day, Sustainability Day, EDUTours to PortAventura World and other attractions.
A Strong Commitment to Sustainability
IAAPA remains deeply committed to sustainability and positive industry impact. The iconic trade show actively promotes responsible practices among exhibitors, attendees, and organizers — from reducing paper usage and opting for recyclable materials to fostering a sustainability-first mindset across all operations.
This year, Barcelona is set to deliver one of the most ambitious and unforgettable editions yet, with a focus on new technologies that will inspire thousands of attendees to drive the industry’s evolution and elevate the visitor experience.
