Thorsten Koebele

Thorsten Koebele brings nearly 30 years of industry experience. He joined Mack Rides’ engineering department as a mechanical engineer in 1997. He quickly took on project management responsibilities and, in 2005, was appointed as Head of Development. Under his leadership, several new ride concepts were developed and introduced, including the first Launch Coaster Blue Fire at Europa-Park. In 2012, he was promoted to the Executive Board as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, overseeing worldwide sales. Beyond Mack Rides, Thorsten is a strong IAAPA supporter and has been an active member of several committees since 2012. He joined IAAPA’s regional and global committees, chaired the EMEA Manufacturer & Supplier sub-committee for three years, and served on the EMEA Advisory Board.
