Lance Gibbons

With over 30 years of experience in the film industry, Lance is known for creating the trusted trade publication The Callsheet and spearheading publications like The Filmmaker’s Guide to Africa and Creative Locations: Western Cape in collaboration with Wesgro.

With a strong background in film production, Lance has extensive experience in servicing international content in South Africa. He previously owned Rocket Film, a production company that remains operational today.

He has served on the board of the Cape Film Commission and the Film SA committee, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the industry.

Most recently, Lance co-founded Filmset, an innovative platform designed to connect the film industry with properties available for film productions. This platform features a diverse range of locations represented by location agents, scouts, film commissions, and properties owned by government, the private sector, and businesses.
