Heather Barnes is the founder and CEO of Improv @ Work, LLC, a company she established in 2014 to bring improvisational techniques to professional development. The organization offers interactive workshops aimed at enhancing communication, collaboration, and leadership skills across various sectors, including academia, legal professions, and STEM fields. These sessions are designed to improve active listening, foster team bonding, and encourage participants to step outside their comfort zones in a supportive environment.

In addition to her work with Improv @ Work, Heather Barnes is actively involved with the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). She serves as the Chair of the IAAPA North America Education Committee, where she contributes to the development of educational content and professional development programs for the attractions industry. Heather has also been a featured speaker at IAAPA events, sharing her expertise on topics such as human resources strategies and the application of improvisational techniques in workplace settings.
