About

Filip de Witte has gained extensive experience in theme parks during his 30 years of experience in different theme parks in Europe & MENA.

Starting his career in a Belgian park, combining rides and animals, as financial & HR director, Filip became CEO of this park in 1999. Previously owned by a family group, the park became then under Six Flags operations.

After he brought this park from 650,000 visitors to 830,000 visitors, the park was sold in 2006 to Compagnie des Alpes (CDA), a major theme parks group in Europe. As of 2008 Filip took MD role of Parc Asterix, second largest theme park in France with > 2 mil. Visitors.

In 2014 he moved to corporate office to supervise international projects & acquisition of new parks for CDA. In this role he executed several projects in Portugal, Russia, Morocco, Belgium, Italy, etc.

Since 2019 Filip combines the role of CEO of 2 major theme parks within CDA : Familypark, Austria’s largest theme park, and Belantis Germany together with M&A missions for CDA.
