Dana Harrel
Originally from Lima, Peru, Dana is a creative executive with more than thirty years of experience developing musicals and immersive entertainment. She currently serves as Vice President of Entertainment at Disneyland Paris, where she leads a talented team of cast members creating innovative entertainment experiences for guests.
Previously, Dana was an Executive Creative Director with Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Live Entertainment, working across Disney Cruise Line and multiple Disney parks worldwide. Some of her favorite projects include Tangled,Mickey’s Music Box in Tokyo, Frozen and Ka Wa‘a at Aulani. In between Disney stints, she served as Head of Experiential Production at Airbnb, leading teams to reimagine experiential travel.
Prior to Disney, Dana was Producing Director at La Jolla Playhouse, where she helped develop numerous productions including Memphis, Peter and the Starcatcher, Come From Away, 33 Variations, Hands on a Hardbody, and helped launch the immersive WOW Festival. She began her producing career at BSC, where she helped develop The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. She has also had the pleasure of working on numerous Broadway, off Broadway, regional and international productions as a freelance Director.
Dana is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and Stanford’s LEAD graduate program. She lives in Paris with her husband and three children.
