The FKF is Germany's association with the largest number of members for funfair and amusement park fans, the regular foundation of the association took place in December 1997 at the Hamburg Winter Cathedral.

The members are mostly from Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. In addition to many private individuals, amusement parks, showmen and various manufacturers of amusement facilities also belong to the FKF e.V.
