IAAPA EXPO EUROPE IS ALWAYS MORE THAN “JUST AN EVENT” FOR ME. Before I was working for IAAPA, I saw this expo as the moment of the year for our industry. A moment to catch up with old friends, make new ones, and of course, to be inspired by the numerous booths and education sessions.
Now, seeing it from an internal point of view, not much changes. I did, however, find a phrase that captures it all: IAAPA Expo Europe is the moment where the industry comes to life in one place.
Seeing the industry coming to life in one place is something you see in different ways: the What’s New Video, where you, our members, show your newest additions with pride, the networking receptions where we meet, mingle, and connect; the innovations that mark our industry on one vast show floor; and even bigger productions like the Opening Ceremony, and of course, our Opening Reception, this year at ABBA Voyage.
This year IAAPA Expo Europe might even be more remarkable compared to other years. Besides a record-breaking show floor size (yes, again!), it is also the first IAAPA Expo globally, in our over 100-year history, that is a certified sustainable event. And that all, in the biggest market of our industry in Europe: the U.K.
IAAPA Expo Europe is our own playground, made by and for the best of our industry. I am looking forward to bringing the full industry together in London this year—in the middle of the U.K.—a vibrant market that has so much to offer. See you in London!
