Short biography
Er S. Yogeeswaran, PBM, graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and has Master of Science in Acoustics, Vibration and Noise Control from Herriot Watt University. He has obtained a Masters of Business Administration from the Singapore Management University in 2016. He started his engineering career with an electronics company now known as ST Microelectronics for 3 years before joining PUB/Power Seraya and worked in a power station for over 13 years starting as an Engineer and worked up to Department Manager. He then started a consultancy firm in 2004, and now has been incorporated as CASY Engineering Consultancy Pte Ltd since 2017. He has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1992. In addition, he is also a Specialist Professional Engineer (SPE) in the areas of Pressure vessel, Amusement Ride and Lift and Escalator. He has also been involved in various submissions to various authorities and looking at ways to enhance sustainability solutions to the clients. He has served as a Board Member of the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) from 2015 to 2017 and from Oct 2022 to Dec 2023.. Since the Amusement Ride Safety Act was enacted in 2011, Er. S. Yogeeswaran has been actively involved with various amusement rides in Singapore. With his knowledge and experience in design reviews and inspection, he has been providing consultancy services to ride operators on engineering related works and assisting ride operators obtain the relevant permits for ride installations, modifications and operations. Furthermore, he has been working closely with different conformity assessors from overseas and gaining deeper understanding on the various amusement rides in the industry. He is also a Professional Ride Inspector (PRI) with AIMS and also holds a Level III (Senior) Certified Amusement Ride Safety Inspector with National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO). He is also a member of ASTM Committee F24, ISO/TC 254 and IAAPA. In April 2025, together with AIMS organised the first AIMS safety seminar together with certification in Singapore. The plan is to have this safety seminar annually in Singapore to assist the region to enhance the safety awareness among us in the Amusement Ride Industry.
