The attractions industry is vibrant and dynamic, offering a range of career opportunities in engineering, design, operations, entertainment, food & beverage, and more. Making young talent aware of it all, is something we love to shout about.
Which is why IAAPA is hosting a series of Student Track events on Thursday, 25 September, during IAAPA Expo Europe in Barcelona, Spain, designed to help young people “Explore a Career in the Attractions Industry”. These events offer students free entry, a chance to explore the industry, meet professionals, and discover exciting career opportunities.

Iconic Ride – Valhalla at Pleasure Beach Resort
Back by popular demand, our annual Iconic Ride session takes a deep dive into one of the most talked-about attractions in the industry. This year, we journey into the world of Valhalla—a legendary water dark ride that has captivated guests with its epic scale, sensory immersion, and dramatic storytelling. Hear from the creative minds and operational leaders behind Valhalla’s design, evolution, and recent reinvention. From technical challenges to cultural impact, this session unpacks what makes Valhalla a true icon in the attractions world.
Guided Tour Trade Show Floor for Students
This event is a guided tour of the trade show floor, led by knowledgeable IAAPA committee members. It's structured to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the industry and facilitate direct interaction with exhibitors. This tour is tailored to enhance participants' expo experience by offering a curated journey of discovery and engaging activities, aimed at expanding their knowledge and insight into the field through guided exploration and dialogue.
Walking Lunch & Job Fair
This unique segment combines a networking lunch with a job fair, giving attendees the chance to meet industry professionals and look into job opportunities while enjoying a meal.
