Change Management: Modifications of Amusement Rides and Devices
Description
This white paper is intended to assist Attraction Owner/Operator/Controllers, Designer/Engineers, Manufacturers, Inspection Bodies and any other involved parties in understanding when modifications to amusement rides and devices are considered safety-related/critical and also includes examples of modifications. The requirements of the relevant industry standards (e.g. EN 13814, ISO 17842, ASTM F24) which should be observed when modifications to amusement rides/devices are performed is also reviewed. Modifications is an important part of the attraction safety life cycle and proper handling of the process ensures attractions stay safe after modification.
