The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment Grant for People with Disabilities is piloted through the IAAPA Foundation. The program's fundamental goal is to support and facilitate successful professional careers for people with disabilities throughout the global attractions industry.

Eligible Uses of Grant Funds

Grant funding is specifically designed to remove barriers and enhance professional integration. Funds may be allocated for three primary areas: the purchase of necessary tools, resources, and/or equipment; creating essential physical accommodations in the workplace; and funding for specialized training, which may be for the individual with a disability or for the people who work directly with them.

Eligibility and Scope

This grant program is broadly inclusive, with no geographic restrictions on applicants. Funding is available to two main groups: Individuals currently employed in the attractions industry (whether their employer is an IAAPA member or not) can apply for a grant. Companies that are current IAAPA members may also apply for a grant.

The program’s scope is wide-ranging, extending to individuals working within all sectors of the industry, including attractions operators, manufacturers, and supplier companies. Furthermore, the grant is not limited to any specific job role, provided the employment is within the greater attractions industry.

Those interested in requesting funding should send an email to [email protected] and include the following:

  • Describe job the person with the disability has in the industry (including company name)
  • Describe the tool/resource/equipment, accommodation, or training needed and how it will be used
  • Dollar amount requested
