Since 1980, the Liseberg Applause Award has been the ultimate symbol of achievement in the amusement park world. Originally a biennial honor, this prestigious award, bestowed by the esteemed Liseberg theme park in Sweden, became an annual celebration in 2024, recognizing those rare attractions that embody the perfect blend of creativity, innovation, and sound business practices. Considered by many to be the "Academy Award” of the industry, the Applause Award honors the parks that inspire us all with their visionary leadership and originality. Announced at IAAPA Honors 2025 at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, Universal Studios Japan has been named the 2025 recipient of this coveted award, joining the 20 outstanding parks already in the winner's circle.
