Participants will gain valuable information on operational performance, visitor behavior, revenue streams, and best practices, equipping them with strategic data to make informed decisions and enhance their parks’ competitiveness.
Guest experience is crucial in water parks. This session will address how to measure customer satisfaction through different customer experience (CX) indicators, such as the Net Promoter Score (NPS). Attendees will explore various methods to assess guest loyalty and satisfaction, using key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide a complete view of the customer experience. Safety trends & Technology Solutions: Learn about evolving technology solutions, current drowning data, and operational changes in response to key learnings. Technology and lifeguards can work together to improve operational outcomes and reduce the risk of drowning.Scanning & Drowning Detection: See what drowning really looks like through actual incident footage, identify behavior indicators that make drowning recognizable then, with the use of VR, step into the lifeguard stand and see how purposeful scanning truly makes a difference in recognizing a guest in distress.

Guest Water Safety Part 2
Put Yourself in the Lifeguard Chair: This on-site session demonstrates the globally recognized 10/20 standard through participatory exercises that put lifeguard surveillance and scanning to the test. Continuing this exercise with a facility tour to practice how to identify hazards that impact a lifeguard’s visibility and purposeful scanning.Pit Crew – Lifeguards Working Together: Using humans as guests in distress, professional lifeguards will perform drills allowing participants to observe and identify visual cues and lifeguard response. The instructor will discuss realistic zones, lifeguard placement, purposeful scanning, and the new unconscious protocol.
