Geoff Norton

Biography

Mr. Norton is a trial attorney in Los Angeles, California with the firm of Norton & Melnik. As a trial attorney for 35 years and representing manufacturers in the amusement park industry since 1999, he brings a unique perspective to bring early resolution to amusement park injury claims, as well as taking steps to prevent claims from happening in the first place. Mr. Norton is well versed in building contractual relationships between product manufacturers and parks to ensure lasting relationships and open communication throughout the life of a ride. He is a member of the ASTM F24 committee for Amusement Park Rides and devices and he is a regular speaker at the IAPPA convention in Orlando, Florida, speaking on subjects including what to do if an injury incident occurs, and training park employees and following the guidelines set forth by the manufacturer. Mr. Norton has defended manufacturers all over the United States and Canada, as well as coordinated response to injury and litigation in over eight countries throughout the rest of the world. Mr. Norton was graduated from Southern Methodist School of Law in Dallas, Texas and is admitted to the bar in both California and Montana. He is an avid golfer and biker and has three beautiful daughters.
