Inflatable Area Procedures and regulations

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Développer toutAll the requested documentation below must be submitted before June 7th
Inflatable structures must comply with the UNE-EN 14960:2014 regulations, especially concerning ballasting and bracing. Other important points to keep in mind:
Outdoor areas: Inflatable structures placed outdoors must be properly anchored to withstand weather conditions (such as wind or rain). Constant supervision is required to prevent accidents due to climate change conditions. It is mandatory to dismantle the structure if wind speeds exceed 38 km/h.
- Indoor areas: In closed spaces, inflatables must be installed in a way that minimizes fire hazards and does not obstruct emergency exits or pedestrian pathways. Additionally, inflatables must comply with fire safety regulations (such as fire-resistant materials). Given that some of the inflatables are made with materials that are not fire-resistant, the exhibiting Companies must hire a fire safety service during show days (opening hours) and provide fire extinguishers with stands and illuminated signage for the rest of the time.
Before the event opens, a certificate of good construction must be provided. This certificate must be signed by a representative of the company responsible for the inflatable structure.
- The certificate format must follow the template provided by Fira de Barcelona , and it must be submitted along with it before September 22nd. The inflatables at IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 are deflated each night by the organizer’s technical regulations.
In case access inside the inflatable structure is allowed, provide security personnel and access control staff to perform capacity control of the attraction. Capacity control will be indicated, and access control will be done by the same exhibitor. If an exhibitor can not confirm that this can be done by them, they will have to book the service through Fira Store (ServiFira). Only exhibitors who can provide the required documentation listed below are authorised to allow access to the inflatables. Access to inflatables without this documentation is strictly prohibited, and it is mandatory to place two stanchions with a sign reading 'Access Prohibited'.
Proof of a valid civil liability insurance policy (specifying the activity, with a coverage limit per claim of no less than €1,000,000).
General description of each attraction or installation, including:
o Clear identification (commercial name).
o Physical description of the installation (machinery, dimensions).
o Design details and justification of compliance with applicable regulations (safety systems, fire prevention, noise control, etc.).Instruction manuals and certification of attraction approval (CE declaration of conformity or equivalent technical documentation).
Annual inspection certificate of the installation, issued by a qualified technician or a specially certified installer.
Specific technical certifications for the assembly and installations carried out on-site by the technical personnel of the attraction owners, confirming that the attraction operates correctly.
- Certificate of legalization of the low-voltage electrical installation, issued by the Department of Labor and Industry for mobile fairground attractions with their own electrical installation (annual certification).
