In celebration of National Roller Coaster Day, Funworld takes a behind the scenes look at the Giant Dipper that has stood on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California for 100 years. Since 1924, generation after generation of boardwalk carpenters have passed their best practices of how to maintain the wooden seaside roller coaster.

The park invited Funworld to climb the Giant Dipper's structure with its dedicated maintenance team.  Managing Editor Mike Costello produced and edited this mini-documentary on the skill, talent, and love that Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has given the roller coaster for a century.
