Ernest Yale, founder and CEO of Troitech, announced the company’s new projects in a press conference at IAAPA Expo 2021. Triotech (Booth #1060), which has worked extensively in dark rides, has an all-new dark ride arriving next summer at Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Carnival Chaos Hyper Ride uses a front-facing, rotating vehicle. According to Yale, the G-force is “very strong,” as the vehicle moves and spins quickly. It also provides unobstructed views to riders as they pass by and interact with high-definition screens within the attraction, and the sound design is controlled to interject sound effects to the specific rider creating them within the simulation.
The ride was designed to be affordable, long-lasting, and able to run as close to year-round as possible. Due to its affordability, and the fact that it only takes up 4,000-6,000 square feet of space, the attraction is ideal for smaller theme park venues and family entertainment centers.
Yale also said he feels it is a smart investment, as the team at Triotech is developing a media library that will give riders the ability to keep the ride fresh, changing its internal content through the computer-generated and media-based operating system.
“Basically, we’re selling a turnkey attraction,” Yale said. “Everything is included, the vehicle, the motion, the TV, and the first title.”
