Providing safe experiences for guests and employees is the attractions industry’s No. 1 priority. Throughout June, “IAAPA Safety Month: Latin America and the Caribbean” will present safety best practices, standards, and updates through a variety of online sessions and resources.
The monthlong campaign—hosted by IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean—will feature keynote presentations, webinars, and workshops led by regional experts and professionals from around the world, as well as educational activities and networking opportunities to connect with colleagues in the industry.
“This month promotes our everyday commitment to safety and encourages us to keep learning and exchanging the latest and best safety practices,” says Paulina Reyes, executive director and vice president, IAAPA Latin America, Caribbean. “The constant training keeps your safety procedures and processes fresh and reinforces safety in everyone’s mind. Join us this June to celebrate safety together to keep delivering safe and unique experiences.”
“IAAPA Safety Month: Latin America and the Caribbean” will highlight three main learning objectives:
- Develop critical skills and knowledge to reinforce guest and team member safety at all types of parks and attractions.
- Promote and develop a culture of safety among team members.
- Perform maintenance and operations processes under the highest safety standards and stay ahead of the game with the latest safety updates.
“IAAPA Global Safety Forum” will close out the month, with IAAPA Global Safety Committee members sharing their passion, knowledge, and experience in guest and employee safety, maintenance procedures, and operational processes.
Most sessions will be presented in Spanish, and some webinars will be presented in Portuguese. The “IAAPA Global Safety Forum” and “IAAPA Safety Talks” will be presented in English with Spanish translation.
