Rob Lara

Short biography

Starting with a passion for wildlife Rob studied wildlife ecology and conservation at the University of Florida and began a career as a field technician for wildlife research. After 18 months he realized he had another goal, sharing his passion. This led him into the zoo world. As a zookeeper conservation happens everyday through engaging guests and caring for zoo animals so that they can serve their purpose as ambassadors. Eleven years later he focuses on leading guest engagement in the animal department at Zoo Miami and coaching other zookeepers to share their passion as well.
