Short biography
Kathryn Woodcock, PhD, CCPE, ICAE, PEng, is Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University involved in unique research and knowledge mobilization activities focused on human factors of amusement rides and attractions pertaining to guests, operators, and inspectors. Dr. Woodcock frequently collaborates with and consults to designer/manufacturers and owner/operators. She is a member of IAAPA, TEA, Executive Committee of ASTM Committee F24, the Board of Directors of AIMS International, and Themed Experience and Attractions Academic Society, and several scholarly societies. She was the first Deaf woman awarded a PhD in Engineering, and has been recognized for her extensive voluntarism and advocacy.
