Description
Water safety is always at top of mind for water park operators. And for good reason. But when it comes to waterslide operations, there's more to think about. This course looks at the safety issues arising from waterslide operation that are frequently overlooked in water parks and by lifeguards and offers strategies for improving slide safety and reducing operational risk.
Learning Objectives
-Attendees will understand the inherent similarities between operation of a dry ride and operation of a waterslide and where the differences between the two can lead to safety and risk management issues
-Attendees will understand the ASTM standards governing waterslide operation, training, and inspection
-Attendees will identify operational safety issues beyond lifeguarding that impact their operations and how to take steps to reduce that risk
