Description

Over half of industry leaders cite that navigating difficult conversations is one of their most daunting tasks.  In today's polarized world the ability to identify and approach potentially challenging conversations is fundamental.  Using philosophies and techniques drawn from improvisation, and pulling from case studies and research from the Harvard Business Review, we will explore frameworks and share tools to empower leaders to better approach difficult conversations.  Ways to establish trust, reframe negativity, explore the other person's side through asking open ended questions and de-escalating emotionally charged situations will be covered. Together we review theory, practice skills in real time, and gain immediate feedback.  Enhance your self-awareness around biases and tendencies during conflict in this active session.

Learning Objectives
- Explore how to de-escalate emotionally charged situations
- Learn how to restate and explore the other's point of view
- Build strategies in how to approach planning for difficult conversations
