Attractions industry professionals from around the world look to IAAPA for inspiration and growth, and as we move forward in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the desire to stay connected remains stronger than ever.
Each September, we bring our community together at IAAPA Expo Europe, where we celebrate our dynamic attractions industry in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. However, this year as we were all hit with the impacts of COVID-19, IAAPA made the difficult decision to cancel IAAPA
Expo Europe in London. While we are disappointed that we are unable to host an in-person show in the EMEA region, IAAPA also wanted to develop and evolve our programs and platforms for members who wish to stay connected and learn from one another in different ways.
One of the most wonderful things about the attractions industry is how everyone is willing to share information and expertise in support of the industry as a whole. We’ve seen an incredible amount of engagement within our network chat groups on the IAAPA Community on Workplace, our new digital platform where many of you actively shared advice, guidance, and best practices.
And later this month, we are truly excited to host IAAPA’s first-ever Virtual Conference for the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions—a three-day online event that will feature educational sessions, informative keynotes, roundtable discussions, and virtual EDUTours. Although we are unable to meet in person, we look forward to connecting on this new platform.
IAAPA creates new opportunities, and you as a member have brought them to life with meaningful dialogue and shared experiences. Thank you for continuously supporting the global attractions industry—and each other.
Sincerely,
Jakob Wahl
