Experience an exclusive tour of Fun Spot America, Central Florida’s only family-owned theme park. Meet the owners and learn firsthand how Fun Spot started as a family entertainment center (FEC) and has grown into a successful theme park. Learn about the cornerstones of the operation and discover the secrets behind the park’s approach to customer service. Enjoy a homestyle dinner and then join Fun Spot team members for a guided tour of the park featuring four program tracks: operations, maintenance, human resources, and food and beverage. Each tour includes behind-the-scenes experiences and quality time for questions and answers. The evening ends with free time to network with fellow attendees and enjoy the attractions.
IAAPA Certification: 3 credit hours
TRANSPORTATION: Buses depart from Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) South Concourse at 5:30 p.m. Participants may drive separately; free on-site parking available. If driving separately, plan to arrive at 6 p.m. when doors open. Buses return to the OCCC South Concourse from Fun Spot America beginning at 9 p.m. The final bus departs Fun Spot at 10 p.m. Complimentary shuttle service between OCCC and official conference hotels concludes at 7 p.m. on this date. Attendees are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before departure time.
Face coverings are required while riding IAAPA Expo transportation.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Dinner buffet, beer, wine, and soft drinks.
NOTES: Must be 18 years or older to attend; 21 or older to consume beer or wine. Separate ticket and Expo badge required for entry. EDUTours are exclusive to IAAPA Members, however nonmembers registered for Institute for Attractions Managers and IAAPA Rookies and Newcomers: FEC 101 can participate. This tour is not open to the press.
COST: $179 IAAPA Members. Tickets should be purchased in advance, as space is limited and may sell out. Expo registration is also required.
