Biography
A lifelong storyteller, Scott has crafted a career seeking to incite curiosity, wonder, passion, and advocacy for the natural world. He began working for SeaWorld in 1995, starting as a park Educator sharing animal stories with guests. Over the next 29 years, Scott transitioned through a series of roles – including instructional design, web development, interpretive direction, exhibit design, and education oversite – all leading to his current role helping look after the diverse array of spaces, places, means, and methods involved in caring for, sharing, and supporting the multitude of species for which United Parks & Resorts (UPR) is responsible.
Often in collaboration with talented partners, agencies, firms, and contributors, Scott has had the great good fortune of bringing his signature blend of creativity, knowledge, and passion to projects modest and massive – each intended to bring people into a closer relationship with wildlife, wild places, and their role in the world. Though the scale of opportunity has changed over the course of his career, Scott is enamored to find he is still doing today what he started out doing way back at the beginning of it all…sharing the story of animals with the world.
