Sam Hedrick

Short biography

Sam Hedrick is one of Silver Dollar City great success stories of an individual growing into a tremendous contributor.   Thirty-Two years ago, at 14, Sam joined Silver Dollar City in the Food Division. On his sixteenth birthday, he became a grill cook at the old Riverside Ribhouse.  Since then he has been involved in every aspect of Silver Dollar City’s Culinary program and has developed multiple restaurants and concepts including, the Rivertown Smokehouse. The largest restaurant ever constructed within Herschend Enterprises.   Working his way up to Director of the Food Division, Sam attended OTC, and has a long list of certifications within the industry, including a member of OTC’s Culinary Advisory Board.   Popular among his co-workers, Sam is seen as a creative force in the development of interesting food items.  Sam also has a gift of developing others within the division, and is utilized by the Park’s Publicity Team as a media spokesperson, seen on national TV shows like “Huckabee” and in regional outlets all over mid-America.
