Peter Weishar

Biography

Peter Weishar is the founding Director of the Themed Experience graduate programs at the University of Central Florida. He is the President and Co-Founder of the Themed Experience and Attractions Academic Society. Weishar is the first and only academic to be honored by the Themed Entertainment Association for his pioneering efforts in the field of Themed Experience and Attractions education. As Dean of Fine Arts at Florida State University he founded the Themed Experience Institute and as Dean of Entertainment Arts at SCAD he founded and chaired the Themed Entertainment Design Masters program. In his academic career, Peter Weishar has run collaborative projects with numerous companies including IBM, Electronic Arts, Walt Disney Imagineering, Meow Wolf, Falcon’s Beyond and Universal Creative. Weishar is the author of three books and has written extensively for both industry and academic publications.
