Nancy Hamlin

Biography
Nancy Hamlin has built a successful career centered on her entrepreneurial drive, mentorship and development of others and her passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.    Nancy joined Cedar Fair in April of 2015 as the Corporate Vice President of Food and Beverage. Hamlin has served in that role since that date leading the development of capital resources, strategic planning and human capital to drive results in a fast-growing revenue department.  Hamlin began her post college career spending several years in General Manager positions with different restaurant companies such as Stouffer Restaurants, the C.A. Muer Corporation, J. Alexander’s Corporation, Rainforest Café and The Capital Grille.  In July of 2003 Nancy took on a new challenge in the event-based food and beverage space when she joined Levy Restaurants at Ford Field in Detroit, MI and served as the Director Of Operations. Combining her firm grasp of the business along with her exceptional vision, Nancy led the planning and execution for Super Bowl XL in February 2006 serving over 70,000 fans.  With a proven record for achieving profit goals while maintaining Levy’s world class points of difference, Nancy then began a meteoric rise and was promoted to Area Manager, Regional Director of Operations, Senior Regional Director of Operations and Regional Vice President. Nancy managed the Southeast Region for Levy comprised of Nascar, NBA, NHL, Golf, NFL and Convention Center facilities.  During her tenure as a leader of Levy Restaurants, she was awarded many accolades for her leadership, including Valedictorian of the Top Gun Program, and Director of Operations of the Year for the prestigious Levy Dream Team. Additionally, in December 2013 Nancy was honored as the first recipient of the Eadie Levy Award for Outstanding Mentorship for her impact throughout the company in training and development, as evidenced by all the leaders that have worked for her and been promoted.  In 2015 Nancy joined Cedar Fair Entertainment as the VP of Food and Beverage and in 2020 was promoted to SVP, in Park Resale. (Retail and Games lines of business added to scope)  Nancy is a graduate of both the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Paul Smith’s College in Lake Placid, NY.    Nancy has lived in Charlotte since May 2006, and prior to that multiple states over her career, since graduating from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Nancy is the youngest of seven children.  In 2012, Nancy began developing her philanthropic passion by completing her first event with Team in Training and has been active with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society ever since. Nancy ran and won Charlotte’s Woman of the Year in 2019 as well as the National Woman of the Year title and set the record for funds raised. Nancy sits on the Charlotte Board for LLS as well as the IAAPA Food and Beverage Committee. (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions)
