Short biography

Keith James, in his current role as Chairman at JRA, Part of RWS Global, leverages over five decades of diverse industry experience that has cemented his reputation as one of the most esteemed leaders in the themed entertainment space. As chairman at JRA, Part of RWS Global, he oversees design and production for high-profile clients including LEGO Group, Warner Bros, Universal Studios Florida, Six Flags Theme Park and Paramount Studios.  James has significantly impacted the themed entertainment industry in his lengthy career. He has served extensively within key industry organizations like the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), leading as President from 2000-2002 and playing an instrumental role in launching its European Division, earning their highest honor - the Buzz Price Thea Award in 2016.  Concurrently, James lent his expertise to helm some of the world’s most prominent theme park destinations, co-founding Kings Productions before serving as Park Manager of Canada’s Wonderland, VP of Operations at the 1986 World’s Fair in Vancouver and Managing Director Australia’s Wonderland in Sydney, then driving expansion of Universal Studios Florida’s world-class attraction as Senior VP of Planning and Development.  James joined JRA in 1992 as a partner and eventually became the sole owner. In 2021, JRA was purchased by RWS Global, and James remained President of the company. In 2023, he became chairman of JRA and continues to offer his experience and creativity.
