Katie Baker

Short biography

Katie Baker is a themed entertainment creative and marketeer from the UK. She studied at the University or Breda in the Netherlands, then went on to do a degree in Special Effects at Solent University in Southampton. She started in Industry, working for Merlin Magic Making in Theming Department at Studio North. Katie has also worked as a writer for theme park publications, covering the opening press event of Hotel New York, The Art Of Marvel at Disneyland Paris. After a year and a half at Storyland Studios, Katie now works for Simworx, the experts in media based attractions. She works in both the creative and marketing departments, designing and selling immersive experiences around the world. Katie was also part of the team that created and founded the NextGen Showcase, an educational non profit that aims to help people break into the themed entertainment industry.
