Bridgette Bywater

Short biography

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Bridgette has a BA in Management from Truman State University and an MBA from Radford University.   In her career in the amusement park industry, Bywater worked in a wide variety of roles including Human Resources, Park Operations, Safety, and Security. She was the Corporate Director of Operations for the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company until 2021 when she became the Vice President and General Manager at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia.   Bywater has long been a member of IAAPA and WWA, and is actively involved in several organizations in her community, including the Richmond Management Round Table, Greater Richmond Partnership, ChamberRVA, Virginia Tech’s MSBA Hospitality and Tourism Management program advisory council, Richmond Region Tourism, and was recently selected to serve as an inaugural member of the Virginia Tech Women Impact Virginia advisory committee. She has been recognized as one of the top 500 most powerful and influential leaders in the commonwealth of Virginia three years in a row by Virginia Business magazine. A strong believer in the power of networking, she can be found on LinkedIn.   Bywater lives in Virginia with her 15-yo daughter, husband of nearly 20 years, two large dogs, two very fluffy and socially awkward bunnies, and one recently rescued orange cat named Pocket with whom she is completely in love.
