Biography
Alexis Scalice brings over 15 years of expertise and a thriving passion for live and
location-based entertainment. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Worldwide Location-Based Entertainment for Universal Live Entertainment Group, a division of Universal Destinations & Experiences, where she led licensed location-based
entertainment. Her work focused on creating immersive fan engagement experiences
based on Universal’s live-action, animated, and television brands. Under her leadership,
the division saw exponential growth in synergistic partnerships, notably through successful global tours such as Jurassic World: The Exhibition, DreamWorks Animation:
The Exhibition, The Office Experience, and Downton Abbey: The Exhibition.
Alexis is recognized for her ability to drive fan engagement and brand loyalty while
enhancing revenue streams across multiple business units. In 2023, she was honored
as one of the “Power 10” on Blooloop’s Immersive Influencer List.
Prior to her role with Universal, Alexis contributed her expertise at DreamWorks
Animation, overseeing the guest experience and consumer journey for licensed retail
entertainment, including the popular family entertainment center, DreamPlay. Her
career began with Caruso, where she directed hospitality and themed entertainment for luxury shopping destinations, including The Americana at Brand and The Grove in Los Angeles. Her contributions earned her the 2014 Business Woman of the Year award for Glendale and Burbank, along with Hospitality Ambassador of the Year in 2008, 2009,
and 2011.
Currently, Alexis is consulting with Liminal Space, where she is leading new business
verticals and expanding her skills in the technical and production realms of live
entertainment.
Alexis studied Journalism and Communications at George Mason University and is
known for staying on the pulse of the live entertainment industry through immersive
experiences worldwide.
