Alan Kanter

Short biography

With over 40 years in the amusement industry, Alan Kanter is currently the Director of Midway Operations at Circus Circus Las Vegas. Previously, Alan was the General Manager of the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, Myrtle Beach, SC; Director of Food Merchandise and Games for Hersheypark and Hershey Lake Compounce. Prior to that, a manager for Roth Novelty Co. in Pennsylvania. Alan completed the IAAPA Institute for Amusement Park Operations at Cornell University and studied Biology at Penn State University. Alan has served as the Chairman if the IAAPA Games committee 1994-1996, as well as Chairman of AMIGO (Association of Managers in Game Operations) 1991-1996. IAAPA Food Service Committee 1997-1999. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army of Horry County, South Carolina.
