When Chris Claffey took his kids to the Jersey Shore, he watched them enjoying their freezer push-up pops and wished there was a version for adults. So, he made it.
Claffey’s Frozen Cocktails (Booth #E7001) come in six flavors, are just 90 calories each, and are blended with wine for an alcohol content of 6%. The packaging is portable and fun: a tube-shaped wrapper that can be torn open to push the frozen pops up. Parks and entertainment centers need only have a beer and wine license to sell the frozen pops with a boozy twist.
Claffey revamped production and can now push out up to 500 pallets a week (previously only 45 a month). The product is available through regional distributors nationwide and at Costco throughout Florida.
The No. 1 fan favorite at IAAPA Expo was mango. “It makes people feel like they’re on vacation,” said Jared Cruze, national sales director.
