Media-based attractions company Brogent Technologies Inc. celebrated 20 years of business in 2021. Not only that, but the company also celebrated the 20-year anniversary of its flagship project, the flying theater. At IAAPA Expo 2021, Brogent (Booth #5115) recognized this important milestone and spoke about its 2021 mission to open 20 new ride systems throughout the year.
“Normally we open three to four rides in normal times,” said Stefan Rothaug with marketing and sales at Brogent. “This was, especially because of COVID-19, a big commitment.”
But Brogent pulled it off, and in 2021, the team did, in fact, open 21 new ride systems in 13 global locations.
Rothaug also announced a new project called “Rise NY,” a flying theater that gives the experience of soaring over New York, and took the opportunity to speak on the company’s future.
He said that Brogent feels LED is the next step for media-based attractions and that it will be moving away from projections, as LED is more flexible and customizable and offers better resolution and brightness, higher dynamic range, and better pixel density.
Brogent is also moving toward exploring game engine attractions for its future productions, rather than the company’s traditional show-based model. It plans to incorporate artificial intelligence and linear storytelling for a real-time motion simulator that can be an interactive, competitive group experience for guests.
