Description

As the saying goes: “We don’t make mistakes, just happy accidents” Every content creator is looking to see their content become their happy accident and go viral, however we can’t all be Beyonce and use a super bowl ad to try to “break the internet.” However, one can put together content in a way to help make that happen.

Creating content that goes viral is a goal for many content creators, but it's important to remember that virality can be unpredictable and there's no guaranteed formula for success. However, there are some strategies that can increase the likelihood of your content gaining traction.  This session will explore these strategies.

In addition, we will also discuss being prepared for when the “happy accident” occurs.  Lightning has struck…now what.  We will outline the various tasks to prepare for the unexpected so that your 15 minutes of fame doesn’t pass you by.

The team behind Fun Across America’s YouTube channel will provide multiple examples of happy accident successes and help the attendees not only set up their content for success, but be ready for when it happens.

Learning Objectives
- Creating content for your audience: when do you make the post? What platform should you use? Do you use hashtags? How many? Does your network respond to candid material or produced?
- Sharing your content: Where should you post your content, what to consider when posting on each platform, with whom should you share your content, you have shared your content…now what?
- Being ready when the Happy Accident happens: It would be a shame for you to accumulate a bunch of new fans and followers only to have them happen upon a dusty old website, broken links, or dated social accounts.
