Description

The amusement industry is estimated to be a $100 billion a year marketplace and that is just from gate receipts. There has been an industry boom since the end of COVID with both traditional attractions and technology driven advances sharing in the growth.  Any industry attracting these sizeable revenues becomes attractive to buyers. After a few years of “wait and see,” Private Equity Groups (PEGs) and other investors are finding providers, vendors and centers as compelling investments. Private Equity and M&A can be scary words for the uninformed, yet attractions and vendors are receiving calls from investors seeking opportunities into the space. The speaker, Greg Fefferman, is a former owner/operator in the industry who has had two different exits from his business and is currently a Director of M&A at Pacifica Advisors focusing on companies in the attractions industry. The talk will cover the current M&A landscape for the industry as well as the top things to think about when contemplating a sale.

-Identify key considerations and best practices for preparing a business for potential sale to Private Equity Groups (PEGs) and other investors
