Purpose of the Workshop

Facilitate the continuous improvement of the professional operation for adventure parks’ performance, quality, safety, and risk management, through the application of international safety standards, ACCT and ASTM.

Content

This workshop provides adventure park operators, or individuals interested in opening an adventure park, with the necessary information on ACCT and ASTM standards, as well as examples, resources, recommendations, and ideas to help facilitate their implementation and compliance to ensure a safe operation, quality guest service and compliance with government requirements.

During these workshop sessions, hands-on exercises will be conducted that will allow each participant to conduct a self-assessment for their current operation. This analysis will provide them with a clear picture of their situation, allowing them to reflect on the work and effort required to comply with international standards and achieve certification; in addition, the different stages of the adoption and compliance process will be described, in its initial phase or as a continuous improvement of their practices.

Learning Objectives:

1. Know in depth best practices for the adventure park industry and any circuit of this type, based on ACCT and ASTM standards.

2. Present examples of a variety of templates, plans and manuals used in safe operation for continuous improvement.

3. Interpret the standards correctly in the pursuit of continuous improvement of operation and safety, as well as the promotion of best practices in risk management.
