Safety is our Priority

  • This event will follow the latest safety requirements of Europa-Park, in line with the COVID-19 regulations from local authority Baden-Württemberg. There are currently three-stage warning system to contain the Corona pandemic which have an influence on the IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit. 
  • The current warning level for events is “Alert level” (2G+): only vaccinated / recovered persons OR vaccinated/ recovered/ received booster vaccination persons can attend the eventAdditional testing will also be required for those not meeting criteria listed in the FAQ section (question 5). Please note that rapid tests must be renewed every 24 hours, PCR tests every 48 hours. Self-tests will not be accepted. Europa-Park offers testing capacity for hotel guests. You can book your appointment here, starting from six days prior to the event.
  • Attendees will have to wear mandatory surgical, FFP2 or FFP3 masks at all time, except when eating/drinking. Social distancing requirements will still apply. For more information on the current health and safety regulations, please visit Europa-Park website and our FAQs section
  • Guests who are experiencing symptoms such as fever or feelings of being sick should refrain from attending.

     


Flexible Cancellation and Refund Policy

In the current fast-changing circumstances related to COVID-19, a transparent cancellation and refund policy for our guests is our priority. In case IAAPA decides to cancel the event, a full registration fee refund will be applied. Please refer to the FAQ section for more details.

Born in Freiburg in 1949, he studied mechanical engineering and created the idea for Europa-Park together with his father in the seventies. After spending time in the USA he developed the initial concept for the park.

Over the next years he, his father Franz and brother Jürgen turned a day-trip destination into an international recreation enterprise. He has been active in the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and as the first German its chairman.

Accommodation is not included in your registration fees but IAAPA has secured rooms at Europa-Park with special rates for you (upon availability) for the nights of 08, 09 and 10 December

  • Overnight stay in single room with breakfast buffet: 91.50€ (incl.VAT) per room/night.
  • Overnight stay in double room (two adults) with breakfast buffet: 125€ (incl.VAT) per room/night.

Payment can be made in advance or onsite. A credit card will be requested as a security but will not be charged if not authorised.


Travel

From 01.08.2021, different registration and test requirements apply when entering Germany. These rules vary depending on the duration of your stay and the country of origin. 

If you want to enter Germany from a risk area (high incidence area or virus mutation area) according to the Robert-Koch-Institut, or you recently spent some time in one of those, entry is only possible under certain circumstances and with a digital registration on entry.

FAQs IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit 

1. What is IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit?

IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit is one-day event that includes EDUTours, one interactive opening and networking opportunities for global attractions industry professionals. It will take place on 09 December at Europa-Park, Germany.

2. Is it safe to attend IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit?

The health and safety of IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit attendees, sponsors and the event team is our number one priority. We are working closely with our partner Europa-Park to ensure we present an event that meets current recommended global and local health and safety requirements. IAAPA EMEA will follow the latest guidance and recommendations for large groups and meetings from German authorities.

3. What are the current health and regulations for the IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit?

In order to attend the event, attendees must comply with the COVID-19 regulations from local authority Baden-Württemberg. There are currently three-stage warning system to contain the Corona pandemic which have an influence on our event: 

  • Basic level (3G): All persons can attend the event with a proof of authorisation (vaccinated/recovered/tested). Rapid test or PCR test are accepted for this level. 
  • Warning level (3G+): All persons can attend the event with a proof of authorisation (vaccinated/recovered/tested). Only PCR test is accepted for this level. 
  • Alert level (2G): Only vaccinated or recovered persons can attend the event.
  • Alert level (2G+): Only vaccinated/recovered + negative antigen / PCR test result persons OR those vaccinated/ recovered/ received booster vaccination. Additional testing is required ONLY for those not meeting the exceptions below:

    •    Persons who have received a third dose of vaccine (valid from the day of the vaccination).

    •    Persons who have received a second dose of vaccine, if no more than six months have passed since the last required individual vaccination.

    •    Convalescents (recovered) whose infection can be proven to have occurred no more than six months ago (proof of infection must be provided by laboratory diagnostics using nucleic acid detection/PCR test).
 

Currently, Baden-Wurttemberg is on Alert level (2G+).  Before booking your ticket, please check the status of the warning system on Europa-Park website

Attendees will also need to wear a surgical, FFP2 or FFP3 mask at all time, except when eating or drinking, and will need to respect social distancing. 

4. Are PCR or Antigen tests sufficient to attend?

Only vaccinated / recovered + negative antigen / PCR test results persons OR those vaccinated/ recovered/ received booster vaccination with an additional valid negative test result (for those not meeting criteria below) can attend the event. Therefore PCR and Antigen tests only are not sufficient following the current stage warning of Baden-Wurttemberg.

5. Who is required to take additional tests?

Additional testing is required ONLY for those not meeting the exceptions below:

•    Persons who have received a third dose of vaccine (valid from the day of the vaccination).

•    Persons who have received a second dose of vaccine, if no more than six months have passed since the last required individual vaccination.

•    Convalescents (recovered) whose infection can be proven to have occurred no more than six months ago (proof of infection must be provided by laboratory diagnostics using nucleic acid detection/PCR test).  

6. Can I book an Antigen or PCR Test at Europa-Park?

Europa-Park currently offer three test centres on the Europa-Park premises, which are operated by CoviMedical GmbH ('15minutentest.de'). For more information on the testing centers, the prices and the test validity, please visit Europa-Park current information webpage

7. Will IAAPA EMEA require attendees to wear masks during IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit?

According to the official regulations of the state of Baden-Württemberg, masks are compulsory for people aged 6+. Please note that scarfs, handkerchiefs and fabric masks are not permitted. Surgery masks or FFP2 and FFP3 masks are considered medical face masks and will be accepted during all functions of the IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit, including park visit, EDUTours and shuttle transfers

8. Will IAAPA EMEA provide masks to participants?

IAAPA will have masks available at registration, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.

 

9. Is accommodation included in the registration fee?

Accommodation is not included in your registration fee but IAAPA has secured rooms with special rates for you (upon availabilities). Please refer to the Accommodation section for more details.

10. Are children, spouses and/or partners allowed at the Christmas Summit?

IAAPA EMEA Christmas Summit is a business event. No one under the age of 18 may take part. The summit programme access is limited to attendees only. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 regulations participation of spouse/partner is subjected to availability. An attendee fee will be charged. 

11. What are the terms and conditions and the refund policy?

We understand that the fast-changing circumstances related to COVID-19 regulations make a constant review of cost and travel commitments necessary for everyone. In case IAAPA decides to cancel the event, a full registration fee refund will be applied. 


In case attendees decide to cancel their participation, IAAPA will assess cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis and ensure that cancellation fees are due in the amount of actual costs incurred only.  


Please note that in the event of cancellation due to government-induced travel restrictions, attendees will be fully refunded if and only if, they can prove that their government has changed the travel regulations after their booking. 


Refunds will only be processed on applicable registration fees. IAAPA will assess additional requests due to unforeseen circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Send cancellation requests to [email protected].
