Jim Futrell has been fascinated with the history of the amusement industry for most of his life. He has authored ten books on the industry along with dozens of articles for industry trade publications. He began overseeing IAAPA’s Oral History Project in 2005 and currently serves as IAAPA’s Historian in addition to being Historian for the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA).
