Throughout October, Jack the Trickster entertains guests with spooky tricks and treats

From a levitating table and puzzling card tricks to flickering lights and festive jokes, Tony Brent brings Halloween-themed magic and stories to “The Outta Control Spooktacular Magic Dinner Show” at WonderWorks Orlando, an attraction that combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits.
The family-friendly “Spooktacular” is a Halloween revamp of WonderWorks’ comedy dinner show, specially created as a limited-time offering for the month of October, with brand-new show elements and décor.
“This is an idea that has been in the works for a couple of years,” says General Manager Brian Wayne of the new show. “With so many themed offerings for the Halloween season, we thought this would make a perfect addition for both locals and visitors to Orlando.”
“The Outta Control Spooktacular Magic Dinner Show” offers guests a 90-minute experience that includes a meal (pizza, salad, drinks, and dessert) and an hourlong performance that brings participants onstage to become part of the show and interact with Brent’s spooky character, Jack the Trickster. Even servers get in on the fun, sporting costumes as they bring treats and the Halloween spirit to guests’ tables.
“Guests have loved it,” Wayne says. “And for those who have already seen Tony’s regular show, the new changes made the show entirely different for them.”
Following the “Spooktacular’s” success, Wayne says WonderWorks Orlando plans to continue running the Halloween show and its other holiday shows yearly. He says a way to keep entertainment offerings fresh and new is to continuously come up with new ideas.
