The banners are hung with care.
The lanyards are awaiting their name cards.
And the two halls making up IAAPA Expo Europe are full of vendors setting up booths.
IAAPA cannot wait to welcome the global attractions back to in-person Expos, starting right here in Spain. As I write this from inside Fira Barcelona—the sprawling exhibition space—you can feel the excitement brewing.
This looks like an IAAPA Expo.
This feels like an IAAPA Expo.
And the halls even have that “fresh Expo” smell (wet paint, new carpet, printed materials).
This is it. The energy is real. And the world is waiting. Together, we will safely welcome thousands of professionals from around the globe. Health and safety measures are in place, from wearing face coverings and hand sanitizing stations to strategically spaced chairs in the IAAPA Theater. Nobody hosts a global attractions expo like IAAPA. Using our decades of experience, my team of colleagues have spent more than a year getting ready for this week.
We look forward to connecting with in-person and exploring all that our many members in the Barcelona area have to offer. Then we get to do it all again in November in Orlando for IAAPA Expo. Registration is open; Visit IAAPA.org/Expos and make plans to join us!
Now as they say, “ON WITH THE SHOW!”
