Movie Park Germany in Bottrop debuts a new action spectacular this season. Operation Red Carpet is the park’s new stunt show, which takes place outside a Los Angeles-inspired movie theater. “We want to put even more emphasis on our identity as Hollywood in Germany,” explains managing director Thorsten Backhaus.
The Golden S.A.M. film awards ceremony is about to begin when daring thieves steal the golden clapperboard trophy in front of the audience. The chase to recover the award is amplified by clever choreography, flame effects, a large LED wall, and a new soundtrack.
In addition, several other enhancements are underway this season. The Old West-themed area received a thematic update and the MP Xpress suspended looping coaster is newly rethemed as Iron Claw. New shaded areas and seating for guest—and pet—comfort also await visitors.
The Doghouse returns in 2023, allowing guests to accommodate their pooches on-site while they have fun in the park. Movie Park Germany partnered with the Dogstyler brand to offer products for visitors’ furry friends.
Movie Park Germany’s Halloween Horror Festival turns 25 this season. The park plans to use this summer to prepare at least one new horror maze for the milestone.
