Ka-Chow! Lightning McQueen zips into Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a new “Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy” show for 2019.
Rookie racers join the champ and his friends from Disney•Pixar “Cars” films as they share stories and life lessons in the indoor theater. Lightning McQueen appears on stage, backed by characters including Mater and Cruz Ramirez. A wraparound screen immerses audiences in the action, as Lightning McQueen shows off his skills on a racing simulator.
In addition to giving “Cars” fans an attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, the 10-minute show increases park capacity. “Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy” arrived ahead of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and in time for Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ 30th anniversary.
