Shanghai, China – IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 (formerly Asian Attractions Expo), the attractions industry’s premier event in Asia, opens today at the New Shanghai International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China. Hosted by IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 will run for three days until 14 June. More than 8,500 attractions industry professionals from more than 60 countries and regions will discover new business opportunities on the expansive trade show floor, learn from international experts during the education conference, and establish valuable connections at various networking events.
IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 features a record-breaking trade show floor with more than 400 exhibiting companies from more than 30 countries and regions exhibiting across more than 13,000 net square meters. Among them, the trade show floor includes more than 60 first- time exhibiting companies. Throughout the event, top international manufacturers and suppliers will debut and unveil new products, services, and technology. Products and services on display include state-of-the-art rides, motion simulators, virtual reality, water attractions, video and skill games, as well as the latest in theming and design, technology applications, food-and-beverage innovations, and more.

Shanghai’s leading attractions featured during special events
In addition to the expansive trade show floor, IAAPA Expo Asia attendees can also take part in extensive learning and networking opportunities and special events. Joe Schott, president and CEO, Shanghai Disney Resort, will deliver a keynote speech during the Expo’s Leadership Breakfast on 13 June.
In addition, exclusive events will take place at leading attractions in Shanghai, including the Opening Night Reception in the evening of 12 June, when 500+ industry professionals will mingle with each other and enjoy lively entertainment at Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, the newest and award-winning marine park in Shanghai. Other featured attractions include Shanghai Disney Resort, Shanghai Natural History Museum, and Hello Kitty Shanghai Times during EDUTours, and the Shanghai Dungeon during the Young Professional Reception.
Expert-led, diverse education sessions share new trends
IAAPA Expo Asia 2019 offers more than 10 general education sessions with in-depth programs led by leading industry professionals from around the world, including executives from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Universal Beijing Resort, OCT Happy Valley, AECOM, Whitewater, Sanderson, and more. Session topics will cover theme entertainment, visual media technology, safety innovation, creative design, data-driven modeling, marketing, operation, human resources, and other hot subjects.
