IAAPA Rookies and Newcomers: FEC 101 is for individuals looking to become operators of a family entertainment center (FEC) or location-based entertainment (LBE) venue. Management experts will share insights and resources for developing, planning, and operating a facility. The multiday itinerary includes a welcome reception, classroom learning, and admission to an EDUTour to Fun Spot America on Sunday evening, Monday’s Lunch and Learn, and Monday evening’s FEC Reception.

New for 2022! IAAPA Institute for Executive Education
Sunday, Nov. 13 – Monday, Nov. 14
IAAPA Institute for Executive Education (IEE) offers attractions industry owners, CEOs, and senior-level leaders a unique opportunity to broaden their strategic leadership skills. Presented in partnership with faculty from San Diego State University, this brand-new hybrid structure kicks off in Orlando in a classroom setting and the field and then moves to a virtual environment through February 2023.
Sunday, Nov. 13 – Tuesday, Nov. 15
IAAPA Institute for Attractions Managers is the industry’s premier professional development program for leaders with five or fewer years’ experience in attractions management. Attendees will gain a global attractions perspective, learn more about all areas of operation, and share best practices. The intensive two-and-a-half-day program is designed with a blend of classroom instruction led by industry experts, case study examinations, and small group presentations. Participants will attend Sunday’s EDUTour at Fun Spot America and Monday’s Lunch and Learn.
Tuesday, Nov. 15 – Wednesday, Nov. 16
The Leadership Symposium is a day-and-a-half program designed for leaders responsible for the care and support of employees. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with participants, as well as learn from industry leaders who represent theme parks, FECs, museums, aquariums, zoos, and more. Through the theme of “Enriching the Team Member Experience,” the Leadership Symposium will tackle retention, engagement, culture, and staffing needs through classroom learning and an outing at a Central Florida attraction.
